Connectors -- Buffalo Bayou Park to the Lamar cycle track (green bike lanes)

I love showing people safe, easy routes to common destinations. 

Perfect example -- from Buffalo Bayou Park to Discovery Green

This connector was completed a few years ago, and it is still fairly unknown due to a lack of signage.

The above image is from my strava account. It tracks my bike rides via GPS (that is, when I remember to turn it on). The view on this map shows you the connector route from Buffalo Bayou Park (upper side of image) down past Sam Houston Park and onto the Lamar cycle track (green bike lanes).

Tip! Look for the painted crosswalk across Walker Street. There are no signs pointing you to use this route to access Lamar and downtown. 

From this connector route, you can easily access the main library, city hall, and everything else that is downtown including Discovery Green! There are numerous Houston Bcycle stations all along Buffalo Bayou Park and in downtown, so this route is easy for anyone even if you don't have a bicycle.

Now you know how to get downtown on a completely safe and protected bicycle facility.
